Join our Merit Badge Counselors at the Nature Center for an exciting opportunity to earn your Environmental Science Merit Badge!
This program is designed to help you understand multiple aspects of environmental science including, making observations and carrying out experiments to investigate the natural world. We’ll learn the basics of environmental science, and what it means to be an environmental scientist. You’ll learn about pollution, invasive species, and endangered animals and why these topics are important to us as humans.
After earning your badge, we’ll engage in hands-on service projects around the Nature Center. These projects will help enhance our natural environment while giving you the chance to put your newfound knowledge into action. Come ready to learn, work, and have fun as we enjoy and learn about all nature has to offer!
- Check-in will begin at 12:45pm with the badge session starting at 1:00 pm. The session will last until 2:00pm. The service project will last until 2:30pm.
- What to Bring: Weather appropriate clothing for outdoors
