Join Merit Badge Counselors at the South Shore YMCA Nature Center for an exciting opportunity to earn your Environmental Science Merit Badge!
This program is designed to help Scouts understand multiple aspects of environmental science including making observations and carrying out experiments to investigate the natural world.
Scouts will learn the basics of environmental science, and what it means to be an environmental scientist. You’ll learn about pollution, invasive species, and endangered animals and why these topics are important to us as humans. Come ready to learn, work, and have fun as we enjoy and learn about all nature has to offer!
- What to Bring: Weather appropriate clothing for outdoors
- Requirements to complete before you come: Requirements 2(A and B), 6 (A or B),
10, 11 - Requirements must be handwritten in a notebook or typed, printed and brought to Merit Badge Course for complete credit.
